Graduate Assistant: Max Rogers

Born in San Francisco, California with a ‘can do’ attitude and having early on memorized his parent’s credit card numbers, Max developed a lifelong passion for learning. In the short period of four years Max walked away from the University of Washington with two BAs and one BS degree, along with a strong desire to take some time off from school. Deciding that world peace was ‘so last year,’ Max decided to spend his time helping to better the world one sea lion at a time by working as a marine biologist. However, constantly smelling like fish forced Max to reconsider his occupational choice and take a job as an orthopedics and sports medicine research scientist where he solidified his passion for biomedical research. Despite hating camping his entire life, Max moved to the woods of New Hampshire where he currently resides as a 4th year Biochemistry Graduate Student in the Dartmouth Medical School. Since coming to Dartmouth Max has run an unsuccessful campaign for Hanover Sheriff, become an ‘Official Irish Whiskey Taster’ in Dublin, Ireland along with many other world travels, worked with undergraduates as a Dartmouth Graduate Advisor in the River and East Wheelock clusters, and apparently tried to look cool/important by writing his biography in the 3rd person. Okay…yikes. That was a little awkward.
