The Sayles Faculty Research and Development in Applied and Professional Ethics supports Dartmouth faculty in the research and development of issues in ethics which will enhance an already existing course, provide professional development in an ethics-related area for the faculty member, provide resources to collaborate or work with students, or contribute to the faculty member’s teaching or scholarship. Projects may take place either off-campus or in Hanover. Faculty are allowed to apply for funding every two years.

The Sayles fund for faculty research exists to support projects that explore ethical issues across the disciplines. Examples of past projects include book chapters, articles, case studies, curriculum development and books. The grants support faculty with research up to $2,500 and awards are limited to every two years.
