Off Campus Outreach The Directors and faculty board consult extensively with industry, academic and professional groups and are available to speak to alumni and professional groups on a range of topics in applied and professional ethics. The Ethics Institute is a member of a national consortium of institutions studying the ethical issues of scientific and engineering research, sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Ronald Green, the Faculty Director was appointed to the National Institutes of Health's Human Embryo Research Panel in 1994. This group was charged with producing guidelines for the conduct of all federally funded research on the human embryo. Between 1995 and 1996, Ronald Green served as a consultant to the National Institutes of Health, where he was Director of the Office of Genome Ethics, National Center for Human Genome Research, Division of Intramural Research. In this position he was responsible for helping establish an ongoing program in genetics and ethics to assist researchers with emerging ethical questions arising in clinical and research genetics. Aine Donovan, the Executive Director serves as a volunteer member of the NH Supreme Court judicial misconduct committee, investigating ethical lapses and advising reprimands. She also serves on the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Ethics committee. .
