Clinical Research

One of the most exciting and potentially very important applications of in vivo EPR is to facilitate diagnosis and therapy of human disease through direct measurements in human subjects. While such studies are still at an early stage, it already has become clear that the potential is very large. The following summarizes the studies that are being carried out at Dartmouth in this field of applications.

Clinical EPR Oximetry program for diabetic foot

Measurements of clinically significant doses of ionizing radiation using non-invasive
IN VIVO EPR spectroscopy of teeth in situ

Development of clinical EPR hardware

Enhancing therapy of tumors

Monitoring oxygen in healing wounds
