A. 2% Osmium Tetroxide (OsO 4 ) with 0.1 M Na cacodylate and 0.075M Sucrose
Add:
1. 75 cc stock 0.2M Na cacodylate, pH 7.4
2. 75 cc double distilled H 2 O
3. 3.96 grams sucrose
4. 3 ampules 1 gram each crystalline OsO4
Check pH and adjust to 7.2 to 7.5 with 0.1N NaOH or 0.1N HCl if necessary.
Divide into 10 cc aliquots and freeze at -20ยบ C until used.
