Thank you for your interest in working as my mentor in the Graduate Program at Vermont College. On this site, you will find a number of items that will hopefully serve as an introduction to both me and the Graduate Program.
If you would like to speak with me directly, please send me an email!
Field Faculty Manual
Here is an online version of the field faculty manual that you will receive if we (meaning you, me and the University) decide that a mentoring relationship between the two of us is appropriate.
Preliminary Study Proposal
Here is a copy of the study proposal that I submitted to the Admissions Committee when I applied for admission to Vermont College. It is a very rough sketch of my intentions. Eventually I will work with both my field faculty mentor and core faculty advisor to finalize this plan.
Here is an electronic copy of my admissions essay. I am including it on this website, because I think it is one of the ways that you can get to know me and my intentions a little better.
This is the thesis I completed at the end of my undergraduate studies in the spring of 2001. My vampire studies served as my introduction to folklore. And, they were an important driving force in my decision to continue on to graduate school. I am including my thesis because I think it exemplifies the way I think and my hopes for my future studies in folklore and mythology.
The field faculty handbook suggests familiarizing yourself with the student handbook. So, here's a link to the online version. (This will open in a new window)
Graduate Program Website
Here's a link to the portion of the Vermont College website that is dedicated to the Graduate Program. (This will open in a new window)
Please feel free to email if you have any further questions. I'd love to hear from you.
