Our weekly events are:

5pm Eucharist

Every Sunday night at 5:00, there is a Episcopal Rite III eucharist in the St. Christopher chapel at the Edge. Its liturgy is based mostly on Rite II, but we've changed up some of the prayers and condensed it to be done by 5:45 or 6:00. The one feature of the 5:00 service that most people enjoy is the short homily and discussion in place of a lengthy sermon, in which the students there have a chance to discuss the homily and readings and share their reflections with each other.

There is often dinner following the 5:00, so come hungry!

N.B. — The 5:00 is on haitus for the Summer, and will begin again on September 17th.

Theology on Tap

Every Thursday at 10:00, the Edge sponsors a theological discussion at the Canoe Club complete with drinks and garlic fries (they are so good!). Topics range widely, from the theology of Paul Tillich, to the meaning of baptism, to the theology of biology and medical ethics. You don't have to be 21, and all are welcome!

Taize Meditative Prayer

Come join us on Tuesday nights at 9:00 in Rollins Chapel for a prayer service in the style of the Taize community — candle-lit songs and prayers. It is a great way to relieve the stress of the week, and find spiritual focus. All of the musical accompaniment is provided by students, and like all our events, all are welcome.

N.B. — Taize is on haitus for the Summer, and will begin again in the fall.

Christian Contemplation

Fr. Henry Atkins, the priest in charge at St. Thomas has spent years studying both eastern and western contemplative and meditative practices. On thursday mornings at 9:00, he leads a contemplation session at St. Thomas church. No previous knowledge or experience with contemplation practices is necessary, and we welcome everyone who is interested. (P.s., the session gets out in time for 10As.)
