Caregivers of Aging Parents Support Group 

Don't forget to mark you calendars for the Caregivers of Aging Parents Support Group!

Sometimes the first step in being a responsible caregiver is to get support for yourself. Coping with aging parents presents various challenges and concerns both practical as well as psychological.

 Jane Lemire will be presenting this lunchtime gathering and is actively involved with eldercare issues and well-versed in Upper Valley eldercare resources.

Bring your questions and concerns along with a "brown bag" lunch.

Boot Camp for Stress Management

  • When:  April 29 and May 6
  • Where:  Collis Room 221
  • Time:  12:10pm - 1:00pm

This two-part workshop addresses stress management in a holistic manner.  The first session examines our assumptions about our lifestyles, working habits and thought patterns that may create or escalate stress. 

The second session focuses on behavioral techniques that manage stress as well as the accompanying anxiety.    

By combining an examination of underlying assumptions about stress and learning management techniques, participants will be able to approach stress from a different perspective.

This workshop will be presented by Sharon Morisi, CEAP Counselor and is open to Faculty and Staff.

Participation is limited to 12 people.

Difficult Conversations

  • Time:  12:10pm - 1:00pm

Whether at home or in the workplace, everyone has faced the necessity of initiating a difficult conversation.  Learn some of the communication techniques that create a win-win situation and lessen negative outcomes as well as wounded feelings.  Decrease your own anxiety about facing conflict and increase your own potential for successful resolution.
