Working Moms Group

Happy spring!  Although it doesn't feel like spring yet, warmer weather is coming.
Hopefully by the Working Mom's lunch in April (or maybe May),
we might even be able to sit outside and enjoy our lunch.
Below are the dates for April-June lunches, so mark your calendars now and try to join us:

Wednesday, April 10
Monday, May 13
Tuesday, June 11

All lunches will take place at 12:00 noon at Ramunto's in Hanover.
Those of you that have never come or not come in a while, please join us as you might just make a new friend, learn something, or at least get out of the office!
Also, we are just 6 members short of 100 on our list so feel free to pass this along to others that might be interested.
We are very casual group that gets together once a month for lunch to talk about whatever is on our minds. We all know how challenging it is to balance a career and a family and it's really nice to have others to talk  with and get ideas or just vent. We discuss all types of things ranging from pregnancy, potty training, allowances, child care options, bedtime routines, food, summer camps, etc. Any topic is open for discussion and  people have been so helpful in offering advice and assistance when needed. Mom's in the group have all age ranges of kids and everyone is welcome. Typically we have anywhere from 6-12 women at each lunch. It   would be great to have more so I hope to see some new people and the return of some who haven't been in a while. Mark your calendars now and try to join us!All lunches will take place at 12:00 at Ramunto's in Hanover.
If you have any questions or would like to be added to the e-mail list, please feel free to e-mail me megan.d.sobel@dartmouth.edu

Hanover Psychiatry, a faculty practice offered by the Department of Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School, is offering a weekly therapy group for adult professionals seeking freedom from the burdens of substance use in a supportive and utmost confidential setting.

This therapy group, Unburdening Professionals (UP), will provide tools to increase motivation and improve adaptive coping responses using two evidence-based treatment modalities (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing). The primary goal of UP is to not only decrease or eliminate alcohol and other drug use among group members, but promote overall wellness and lifestyle improvement.

UP will meet weekly for 90 minutes in the evening on an ongoing basis beginning in February 2013. Groups are designed to be small, affordable and tailored to group members' needs.

We currently are seeking referrals for UP! If you would like to refer a patient this therapy group, please contact Megan Call, PhD, at Hanover Psychiatry via phone (603-277-9110) or e-mail (megan.e.call@dartmouth.edu).
