Announcements

The Equestrian Team finished in fourth place in IHSA Zone I, Region 2 for the fall season, and qualified Cristina Herren(Open Fences), Gaby Sauza(WTC), Janna Wandzilak(Intermediate Fences) and Natalie Colaneri(WTC) for Regionals.

• The Dartmouth Equestrian Team placed third at the 2012 Ivy League Championships hosted by Yale and Columbia on April 22nd in Bethany, CT.   Below are results for both the individual classes and the Championship Classes: 
• Olivia Cameron '14: 2nd in Open Fences, 2nd in Open Flat
  Janna Wandzilak '14: 2nd in Open Fences, 2nd in Intermediate Flat
  Kate Mahoney '15: 1st in Open Flat
  Alexa Dixon '15: 2nd in Intermediate Flat
  Gaby Sauza '13: 1st in Novice Flat
• Championship Rounds:
  Alexa Dixon '15: Intermediate Flat Champion,  Gaby Sauza '13: Novice Flat Champion,  Olivia Cameron '14: Open Fences Reserve Champion
  Kate Mahoney '15: Open Flat Reserve Champion
• Our riding league for 4th-12th graders, the Athletic Equestrian League, or AEL, got off to a great start this Spring.   The Team came in Reserve Champion at the DRC AEL on 4/14 and will compete at Seery Hill on April 28th.  The AEL National Championships will be held at Dartmouth Riding Center on Saturday, May 12th, starting at 10 AM.

• The following Equestrian Team members made the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's All Academic List:  Alexa Dixon, Emily Estelle, Faye Keegan, Gaby Sauza, Cristina Herren, Janna Wandzilak, Isa Francisco, Natalie Colaneri and Tasha Bock

• Dartmouth Dressage Club:  The Dartmouth Dressage Club started up at the beginning of Spring term.  Team coach Lindle Lawton-Sutton is looking forward to another great term with the Club. 

The Dean of the College Office, through its Executive Officer, is responsible for the operation of the Dartmouth Riding Center. The facility serves as a home for the Dartmouth Equestrian Team, operating under Dartmouth Athletics, and the Dartmouth Dressage Club, operating under Dartmouth Club Sports.
