Programs at Morton Farm:

• Boarding:Morton Farm offers boarding to 14 horses each year. Boarders include Dartmouthstudents, Dartmouth and DHMC employees, and the general community.
• Challenge Program: The Challenge Program is formentally challenged children and adults. It runs from June to October each yearon one night per week.
• CommunityRiders: Sixty to seventy-five riders take advantage of our communityriding program each week. Lessons are offered for anyone between the ages of 6and 70 at all levels and abilities.
• Dartmouth Equestrian Team: The Dartmouth Equestrian Team will gear up with a week of preseason Sept 17th-21st. Fall season of Intercollegiate Horse shows will start October 13th at Middlebury College, and our home show will be Oct 20th at DRC.
• DartmouthRiders: Over 80 Dartmouth studentsride at Morton Farm each term, either by taking part in one of the twoDartmouth teams, for PE credit, or just for fun!
• Foxchasing: From August 1 through the end of November each year, you can find program director Sally Batton taking a group of Dartmouth and community riders foxchasing in Lyme, NH and South Woodstock, VT. Alums are welcome to join inthe fun, just contact Sally by phone or email.
• Children's Summer Horsemanship Clinics: For eight weeks each summer, Morton Farm is home to Horsemanship clinics for children. Six campers each week learn the ins and outs of horse care and riding.
• Polocrosse: One polocrosse class is offered each term, with mainly Dartmouth students playing. Polocrosse is basically lacrosse on horseback and is loads of fun!
• Summer Schooling Series: A complete schedule of horse shows is offered each year at Morton Farm starting in May and ending in late September. Shows include jumpers, dressage, and hunters/equitation.
• TinyRiders: From May to October each year Morton Farm offers a riding program for three to five year olds.

The Dean of the College Office, through its Executive Officer, is responsible for the operation of the Dartmouth Riding Center. The Center programs, under the management of the Director of Riding, provide recreational riding opportunities for Dartmouth students, faculty and staff, and for members of the local community. The facility serves as a home for the Dartmouth Equestrian Team, and for physical education classes and several individual lesson programs. Community outreach activities include instruction for all ages, a small handicapped riding program and the opportunity to board horses.
