Below
you will find a list of students, faculty, administration, and staff
who are willing to be resources for members of the Dartmouth community.
Feel free to contact any of these people if you have questions or
need support (when folks refer to "blitz" they're talking about
email). Prospective students and employees are encouraged to contact
us as well.
If
you represent a commercial or research endeavor (this includes current
Dartmouth students) please contact Pam
Misener, Assistant Dean of Student Life, for a more appropriate
method of contacting members of the GLBTQA community at Dartmouth.

Hi,
my name is Jon Hopper. I'm an '08 and a Psych Major. I hail from
good ol' suburban Connecticut. I'm involved in a million things
on campus: Tour Guide, mentoring program (DREAM), AIDS Awareness,
SexEd Peer Advisor, Sexual Assault Peer Advisor (SAPA), Mentors
Against Violence, Inter-Community Concil, as well as the coolest
DJ on WDCR AM. Feel free to contact me about anything! My door is
always open and everything is always confidential.
Tiger
Rahman '09
Hey,
I'm Tiger - class of 2009. I'm currently the chair of the Dartmouth
Rainbow Alliance (DRA) with additional involvement in the marching
band (DCMB) and World Music Percussion Ensemble. My interests run
the gambit from religious studies to BDSM to dancing, poetry, and
theater. I have no idea what I want to major in, though I'm currently
studying Arabic and loving it. I'm extremely talkative and love
meeting new people. Basic stats: I've been out for a while - 6 years
now - ex-Muslim, African-American, generally identifying as queer
or a dark shade of gay rather than lesbian. Email me at tig09@dartmouth.edu.

William
D. Winkelman '09
Hey,
I'm Will Winkelman, class of 2009. I'm from New York City (I know,
what the hell am i doing in the middle of nowhere). I'm probably
going to major in biology but we'll see how that goes. I'm training
to be a Sexual Abuse Peer Advisor. I also work at the ceramics studio
which I love, definitely give it a serious try sometime before you
graduate (stop by if even if you're just visiting, see what it's
all about, only campus building in Vermont so clearly has something
going for it). Well anyway, definitely blitz me at William.Winkelman@Dartmouth.edu,
if you wanna talk or have any questions about being gay, about Dartmouth
in general, about life, about whatever. Love it here at Dartmouth
and love meeting new people.

Wong '07
Hey
everyone! I am male and queer identified, and I double major in
Women and Gender Studies, as well as Religion. I especially focus
on queer issues (LGBT and beyond) and feminism, including and especially
issues impacting people of color. I am also interested in transgender
issues. I am extremely enthusiastic about religion, from Buddhism
and Hinduism, to the Judeo-Christian religions and other American
religions. And oh gosh, so much more. I love discussing issues of
race, gender, ethnicity, class, religion, politics (American and
International), and food. I'm interested in the patently absurd,
in every way that it manifests, in art, poetry, music, religion,
and love. Feel free to blitz me at any time! Peace.

L. Payne '06
Hey,
I'm a Class of 2006, and majoring in Film and Televison modified
with Art History. I love Dartmouth and helping out prospective or
new students with any of their questions. Dartmouth's been a big
leap for me coming from a ranch outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma, but
I've enjoyed every minute of it. Because I've taken some time away
from the college to do film work, I'll be graduating with the Class
of 2007, so I'm pretty psyched that I'll get to spend another year
here.
Dartmouth
is hands-down the best college experience one could hope to have:
World-class academics, down-to-earth students, incredible setting,
and more recreation than you can imagine. The gay community here
has went through some big revolutions during my time here, and it's
great! More than ever, the campus is an accepting environment and
people feel more comfortable to be themselves. Love to chat with
you about my experiences here, and also about what you might expect
being immersed in such a crazy place. Email me at RLP@Dartmouth.edu.
Michael
S. Guzman '06
Hey
hey. My name is Michael Guzman, an '06, and current treasurer of
the GSA. I'm an HIV/AIDS Red Cross peer educator and a Government
major. Please feel free to talk to me about anything. I always love
to read a blitz from a new person. I'm originally from Danbury,
CT, I'm hispanic, and I'm a member of the Dodecaphonics, the best
a capella group on campus! My trademark is my keen and critical
fashion sense, so you'll be sure to spot me on campus. he he. Well,
contact me!
Nathan
B. Cardin '05
Hey,
I'm Nate Cardin, an '05 military brat most recently from Fort Walton
Beach, Florida. I graduated in June with a major in chemistry and
a minor in Spanish. I'm currently working on a PhD in organic chemistry
at Stanford (and highly recommend sunny California). At Dartmouth,
I worked as a UGA/tutor/TA/study group leader and was also a member
of Casque & Gauntlet and COS. As a Catholic, I was a member
of Aquinas House, so I'm familiar with the struggle between ones
religion and identity. Feel free to drop me a blitz anytime...you
never get too old for blitz. (: Take care and hope all's well.

College Records Manager
My name is Wess Jolley, and I am the Records Manager at Dartmouth.
It is my responsibility to manage the retention and disposition
of all the information that Dartmouth produces and maintains in
the course of business. I have worked at the College since 1994,
and I live in Tunbridge, Vermont, with my partner. We had a Civil
Union in July 2000, and would be glad to discuss the process with
anyone who is interested in pursuing it for themselves. I have a
special interest and experience with activist work, having run an
ACT/UP chapter in California many years ago. I was also the President
of the gay student group at the University of Utah in the early
1980s.
