Lodge Jobs

The Lodge is a 100-bed mountain hospitality facility, serving dinner and breakfast, that is open to all Dartmouth students, faculty and staff as well as the general public.

The Lodge has three seasons: Spring, Summer and Fall.

Spring Crew

Spring Crew works from approximately April 28 to June 15. We hire four crew members for the spring.

Summer Crew

Summer Crew works from approximately June 3 to August 31 (exact end date TBD). We hire five crew and an assistant manager for the summer.

Fall Crew

Fall Crew works from approximately September 18 (or the day after DOC Trips ends) to October 27. We hire four crew and an assistant manager for the fall.

Job Details

All crew members rotate through all jobs: Desk (Hospitality), Cook, Dishes, Serving, and Projects. Pay is $5.65 per hour, plus room, board, and tips. The schedule is eleven days on followed by three days off.

Hiring

The hiring process for Spring and Summer occurs in January and February, and hiring for Fall occurs in April. Notices will be posted on the DOC Blitz Bulletin with links to our application, etc. at the appropriate times.

Other Crews

We also hire people for Trail Crew (doing trailwork!), Cabin Crew (doing cabin maintenance), Moosilauke Trailwork Coordinator (working with volunteers to accomplish trailwork on Moosilauke’s trails), and Alpine Steward (outreach and education with hikers); also in April. All these people get their room and board at the Lodge so they are also part of the Lodge crew family.

Hiring for the DOC First-Year Trips Moosilauke Crew is a separate process. Details will be posted on the DOC home page in February.
