The Hanover Country Club is a semi-private College-owned 18-hole golf course which is open to the public. During the winter groomed tracks are set for cross country skiing by the Dartmouth Cross Country Ski Center.
How to get there:
From the Dartmouth Green, go north on North Main Street toward Baker Library. At the first stop sign, one block past the library, continue straight (North Main Street turns into Rope Ferry Road). At the end of the road is the Clubhouse and Pro Shop. During the winter, continue around the road to the left for the DOC House with ski and skate rentals.
Cross Country Skiing
Each winter, in addition to the extensive network of groomed trails on Oak Hill, the Dartmouth Cross Country Ski Center sets a five-kilometer skating and classical loop on Garipay Field and a two-kilometer loop on the Golf Course by the DOC House, both of which can be skied in either direction. Trail passes are required for skiing on the groomed tracks and can be purchased at Outdoor Rentals, the Ski Center, or at Oak Hill (passes are not required for skiing off the groomed trails). Additional parking for skiers is available at Oak Hill and at the Garipay Lot on Reservoir Road across from the 45 Lyme Road complex (please don’t park in the 45 Lyme Road parking lot).
