How to Register
Congratulations and WELCOME! We are so excited you've chosen to join us at Dartmouth and we cannot wait for you to arrive this fall! We'd like to invite YOU to participate in a Dartmouth Outing Club (DOC) First-Year Trip - the College's largest pre-orientation program that takes place right immediately before the start of the fall term.
'Trips' - as the program is known - is a unique, five-day, outdoor experience designed to welcome you to Dartmouth. Trips can provide you with the opportunity to bond with other incoming students, connect with upperclass leaders who are eager to support you, and explore the beautiful areas surrounding campus. Trips is student-run, and we are extremely committed to helping you feel comfortable in and excited about your new home!
While online registration for DOC Trips 2014 is now closed, it is NOT too late to register for a trip! If you would like to participate, please contact us as soon as possible and we can assist you with registering for a trip. The earlier you contact us, the easier it will be to place you on your preferred date for DOC Trips.
Financial assistance is still available to defray the cost of participating in DOC Trips, and we can make any necessary accommodations to meet your accessibility needs on your trip. Furthermore, we have several different dates and many different types of trips, so we can work with you to assign you to a trip that you are excited about. You do NOT need to have any prior experience to participate, so all incoming students (including transfer, exchange, and international students as well as any varsity athletes) are welcome!
It's finally time to register for a DOC trip! We know you have a lot of questions about the program, so please take the time to review ALL the instructions and information we've provided below before you begin the online registration process. While it may be tempting to just start your registration, we urge you to look through ALL of the documents below before starting. It's difficult to make adjustments to your trip once you've been assigned, so it's essential you read through all the directions first!
Registration Instructions: This document will walk you through every detail of the registration process including the schedule, types of trips, payment, financial assistance, and more! All students should review this document BEFORE beginning their registration.
Welcome Letters: These brief letters offer different perspectives as well as important details about the First-Year Trips program. If you are an international, transfer, or exchange student (including Thayer School exchange students), please review your corresponding letter before beginning the online registration process. There is critical information you need to know before beginning the registration process.
Payment Information: More details about financial assistance, the cost of Trips, making a donation to the Green Fund, and DOC memberships. All students should review this information. If the cost of Trips may prevent you from participating, please contact us and we can assist you.

Are you an international, exchange, or transfer student? If so, please read your specific Welcome Letter (see above) BEFORE you register for a DOC Trip.
Now that you have read ALL the important information and directions, it's time to register! Please complete the online registration form. The online system has a timer, so please save your information often!
NOTE: To access the registration form, you must logon with your Banner/BlitzMail username and password. The College should have sent you instructions for this (instructions for exchange and transfer students may still be pending). If you have difficulty with your log-in information, you can contact the College's Computing Services office.
