Welcome to Dartmouth Formula Racing!
Dartmouth Formula Racing (DFR) is an entirely student-run organization at Dartmouth College’s Thayer School of Engineering. Since 1995, our team has designed and produced award winning formula racecars to compete against other teams from across the country. The DFR team designs, manufactures, assembles, tests, and drives open-wheeled racecars to compete in the Formula Hybrid Competition held by the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE).The only guidelines are the rules. Otherwise we are free to design anything we imagine!
The team is comprised of student volunteers and students working for course credit. Traditionally, DFR carries about 15 dedicated members who do the majority of the designing and fabrication. While some students come to work for an hour or two, others dedicate 60+ hours a week. For more information on DFR, continue to the current Team Roster or take a look at the Team Vision.
