Opening the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) for IIS on XP
The Microsoft Management Console enables the administration of IIS. It is accessed as follows:
1. Open the ‘Control Panel’ by accessing ‘start/Settings/Control Panel’.
2. Select
‘Performance and Maintenance’. 
3. Select
‘Administrative Tools’. 
- Select ‘Internet Information Services’.
5. The Microsoft Management Console for IIS is now open. We will use this console extensively to configure IIS in the next sections.
