Entrepreneurship
What does it mean to be entrepreneurial?
Are there certain characteristics that distinguish entrepreneurial thinkers from others?
At the DEN we believe you don't have to be born an entrepreneur to acquire entrepreneurial skills.
DEN Vision
Moved by our belief that entrepreneurial skills can be learned, the DEN provides hands-on educational experiences and advice in business development, complemented by traditional classroom based programs and student independent studies, to help the Dartmouth community learn and implement entrepreneurship.
DEN and the City
The mission of the eight Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Networks in the Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, Colorado, DC, LA, NYC, and Seattle is to foster relationships among its members, educate them about founding, operating, and financing entrepreneurial endeavors, and create and enlarge the DEN network.
DEN communities include the alumni, students, and faculty of Dartmouth College, the Tuck School of Business, the Thayer School of Engineering and the Dartmouth Medical School who live or work in the Boston area.
Each DEN City stives to use common ties to Hanover to create an atmosphere of trust and familiarity for all of our members.
Statement from the President
“The need for people with entrepreneurial skills – creative,
strategic, bold thinkers – is as evident today as it has ever been – in
large companies and small, in governmental and non-profit organizations.
Many of you here will consider entrepreneurship as a business skill, which
surely it is.”
President James E. Wright
