Welcome to the DEN

Moved by Dartmouth's belief that entrepreneurial skills can be learned, the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN) fosters and promotes entrepreneurship among students, faculty, clinicians, researchers, staff, alumni, and community members from all schools at Dartmouth, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), and the Dartmouth Regional Technology Center (DRTC).

The DEN includes over 45,000 people and 14 chapter cities, courses, workshops, speaker series, startup competitions, and networking activities. The DEN is a core component of the newly established Dartmouth Office of Entrepreneurship & Technology Transfer.

Drawing on an extensive pool of expertise, the Network offers a wide range of services to the Dartmouth community - from strategic advice, to one-on-one mentoring, to educational programs, to networking opportunities, to infrastructure, and office and lab space.

Dartmouth has a strong history of entrepreneurship which is celebrated by many Dartmouth firsts—from the foundation of the world’s oil industry and the invention of BASIC to the more whimsical inventions of the games Twister, Cranium, and the Nerf Ball.

Since January 2001, the office has provided support for over 400 projects and companies.
