Dartmouth
College’s
Pavilion aka “The Pav” is a one-of-a-kind eatery that follows the religious
laws of kashrut and halal. Separate pans, utensils and equipment are used
for each religious discipline. Essential to keeping kosher and halal, The
Pavilion’s carefully assembled production kitchens are color-coded and
clearly marked for preparation and serving.
Dartmouth
students who follow either kosher or halal should feel at home at The
Pavilion, and know that they are eating in accordance with their dietary
discipline. Vegans, vegetarians and other
Dartmouth
students who frequent The Pavilion will also find an array of foods that are
pleasing to the palate such as Falafel, Kosher Grilled Salmon, and
Mediterranean Kosher Salads.
As an eatery that was conceived by the student body, we welcome any
Dartmouth student who would like to learn more about operating kosher and
halal food production in a socially welcoming environment.
