So you want
to get in on band action... you just don't know how.
Well here's the score:
So,you're
thinking of joining the DCMB, huh? Smart move. We're always glad to have new
faces around. As you've no doubt determined from the rest of our site, we're a bit
unorthodox, as marching bands go, so we're very flexible in our
instrumentation. We have, in addition to the typical sections, an occasional
violin player, several keg players, a few kazooists and a toy saxophonist. Oh,
and when the weather's good, we might have an accordion, too. So it really
doesn't matter what you play, or what you can't play, as long as you have the
spirit!
The band's practice schedule is right here.
Our playing schedule is here.

"But
My High School Band was really boring!"
We are not your high-school band! We take our music
seriously, but our objective is fun! Find out more about
us! Meet our members
and our Directorate.
"But
wait," you say, "I can't be in a band if I don't play anything!"
Not a problem.... we
can always find something for you to blow through, bang on, or crash. We have a
veritable plethora of members who never played an instrument before joining the
DCMB, and they sound great!
"But
my best friend has been playing in a marching band all through high school. Can
she join?"
Of course. We have
many highly skilled musicians in our group. Many of our members are in the Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra, the Dartmouth Wind Symphony, or the Barbary Coast.

Still
unsure?

So how do
you join?
As you can see, it's easy to join the band. Any bandie can
help you achieve the zany antics and irresistible flair that come with putting
on the green blazer and white turtleneck of the DCMB. We'll all be glad to have
you join the group!
