IV.              Internal possession law(s)- Jed

Under state RSA 179:20, the minor in possession of alcohol law, "internal" possession (alcohol that has been consumed) is now considered legal possession. Underage drinkers can now end up with a minimum $250 fine and loss of their driver’s license.  (from theseacoastonline.com)

Beth Robinson '86 will share her groundbreaking work as a co-counsel to the plaintiffs in Baker v. State, Vermont's landmark case involving the rights of same-sex couples, and as a leader in the lobbying effort which led to the passage of Vermont's civil union law.  She will speak about her experiences in connection with those efforts and will also address the legal issues surrounding the future of same-sex couples' civil rights in the United States.  Sigma Delta sorority (10 West Wheelock St) the evening of Tuesday, April 20 from 7-8.30.  Open to the campus and public. For more information, blitz either Alison Reed '06 or Ainslee Withey '05.
