What: Cricket 101: An introductory camp for the game of Cricket When: Wednesday 10/21/09, 8pm. Where: Leverone Field House
Cricket was first played at Dartmouth College in the 18 century. (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~library/Library_Bulletin/Nov1992/LB-N92-KCramer2.html). It is still thriving. The Dartmouth Cricket Club organizes weekly practices and both home and away games during the season for cricket fans. If you are interested in learning about how cricket is played and want to experience the game hands on; or if you are a seasoned pro who just wants to learn about the club and what we have to offer, come to the introductory camp for cricket. If you are curious about the game and never really got a chance to try it out, now is the time. Experienced members of the club will be on hand to talk to you about the game and give everyone an opportunity to play the game. Come and learn about the rules of the game, try on some cricketing gear and see if your talent lies in clobbering fours and sixes as a batsman, bowling sizzling deliveries as a fast bowler, or confounding batsmen with spin bowling. If you leave the camp smitten by the game, you are welcome to join the club for future practices and matches.
