Opportunities to direct undergraduates in research projects abound at Dartmouth. Many are based in departments and programs, especially independent study arrangements and honors theses. You can find out more about these opportunities from your department and program websites. Some of the most rewarding experiences in teaching emerge from mentoring undergraduates doing research.
The Dean of the Faculty maintains an office that oversees some of the most prestigious, university funded, opportunities for undergraduate research: Presidential Scholarships, E.E. Just Internships, Research Grants, and Senior Fellowships. For detailed information, see the Dean of Faculties Undergraduate Research page (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~ugar/).
