Foreign Language Teaching

A Series of Faculty Workshops ~all 1:00-1:50 PM in DCAL

Dates:   October 20th, November 17th (2005), and January 26th, March 2nd, April 27, and May 25 2006

We'd like to invite you to join a group of Dartmouth faculty interested in sharing ideas and strategies for the teaching of foreign languages at the college. With the support of the Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning (DCAL), Jim Dorsey (Associate Professor of Japanese) and Elizabeth Polli (Research Assistant Professor of Spanish) are planning a series of six informal sessions spread over the course of the 2005-2006 academic year (two sessions per quarter). The workshop will meet in DCAL's Teaching Center in the southeast wing of Baker Library. Participation is open to any faculty member teaching a foreign language at Dartmouth and both willing and able to attend and contribute throughout the year. To keep the workshop informal, there will be a limit of 20 participants. Anyone interested in participating should contact Diane Chamberlain.
