Hello 16′s and Congratulations! The hard part’s over. All the hard work you’ve put in during the last few years has finally paid off. Let me be the first to welcome you to the greatest college in the country. You’ve made the right choice and you’ll absolutely love it here. I didn’t apply early decision, but Dartmouth was always high on my list. When I got in and finally visited, I was certain that it was the perfect school for me. Sitting here after having just completed my first term, I can wholeheartedly assure you that I was absolutely right. Take a few moments to celebrate your accomplishments, and enjoy the rest of your senior year. (Keep those grades up!). I’ll see you in September as you step onto campus as the “worst class ever”. Welcome to Dartmouth!
Varun Bhuchar
Varun, a graduate of Sachem High School East, comes to Dartmouth from Ronkonkoma, New York. He's thinking of majoring in government and/or film and media studies, and this fall is taking Macroeconomics, Modern British Drama, and Media Industries. He's a member of the Dartmouth Film Society, writes for the campus newspaper The Dartmouth, and competes on our club fencing team! His favorite book is 1984, and around finals time, you'll probably be able to find him studying in the Baker stacks.
