Erica McGale’s family currently lives in Irvine, California, but has a special affinity to Canada as she was born there. Erica intends to major in Biophysical Chemistry and minor in Art History. Between Chemistry and Art History, Erica believes she has everything she could have wished for, but she continues to explore the wide array of classes Dartmouth has to offer. Outside of the classroom, Erica is a coxswain for the men’s heavyweight rowing team and a regular volunteer for COVER Home Repair. Additionally, she is a member of the Chemistry Society and the Nathan Smith Society, a society for students interested in medicine, through which she is able to shadow doctors at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Despite all of her academic and volunteer commitments, Erica finds time to spend with friends, play intramural softball, hockey, and soccer.
