Make a Difference for Dartmouth: Why Your Vote Matters

You have the opportunity to participate in a process of vital importance to Dartmouth by helping to select the next alumni Trustee. All Dartmouth alumni, including those who attended its graduate programs or professional schools, are eligible to cast their ballots from April 1 through May 15, 2007.

Dartmouth's Trustees are dedicated alumni who give their time, expertise, and talents to making sure Dartmouth continues to provide the finest liberal arts education anywhere. They have ultimate responsibility for the financial, administrative, and academic affairs of the College.

Many of you tell us you don't participate in Trustee elections because you're unfamiliar with the candidates and their platforms. This special issue of Dartmouth Life offers interviews with those candidates, and with five current members of the Board. The interviews are designed to give you an in-depth look at what the Trustees do, what they see as Dartmouth's greatest challenges and opportunities, and how the candidates view a range of similar issues.

I encourage you to spend time reading these and other materials on the Vox the Vote Web site. You can vote by paper ballot or online.

Please participate. Let your voice be heard.
