Wright's on Moosilauke

President James Wright (far left) and Susan DeBevoise Wright (left, yellow coat) helped celebrate the Dartmouth Outing Club's 100th anniversary by hiking 3.6 miles to the 4,802-foot summit of Mount Moosilauke on May 23. It was their first trip up the mountain-and possibly the first by any sitting Dartmouth president. Student leaders of the Dartmouth Outing Club, the Dartmouth Undergraduate Veterans Association, Student Assembly, and the Class of 2009 were among the hikers.

Samuel Crist '10 and Michael Stinetorf '11, who both served in the U.S. Marines, hiked alongside President Wright, a former Marine himself, for the entire four-hour climb.
