Graduates are top earners nationwide, 10-20 years out
Dartmouth is number one in the Ivy League and tops 300 other colleges and universities in a survey of median compensation for graduates 10-20 years into their careers. Forbes.com reported on the study, conducted by Payscale.com, in a July 30 article. The online magazine also noted that many recent Dartmouth graduates head for Teach for America and the Peace Corps.
Forbes asked: "So how do Dartmouth grads, many starting at nonprofits, leapfrog their peers when it comes to compensation as they gain more experience?" Monica Wilson, associate director of career services said, "The ability to think outside the box and adapt as easily as Dartmouth students do is what puts them ahead."
The Forbes.com report was based on an analysis by Payscale.com.
