On a Clear Day, You Can See Vermont

If you're in Hanover this summer, take advantage of the opportunity to get a bird's-eye view of campus from the top of the Baker Library bell tower. The tower will be open to intrepid climbers on June 12, June 19, July 23, and July 24 from noon to 4:00 p.m.; June 13 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.; and June 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. You're on your own for the hike up the tower, but there will be guides at the top who can answer any questions you might have.

At nearly 200 feet, the fairly steep hike to the top is not for the faint of heart. The climb also is not recommended for young children.

If you are interested in "summiting" the bell tower, stop at the Baker-Berry Library information desk in the Baker main corridor during the times indicated above. Or call 603-646-9240 for more information.

Now, put on your walking shoes, grab your camera, and take a hike!
