DAMELL is an abbreviation of the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures.

The department, established in 1995, offers language training in Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, and Japanese as well as courses on the literary cultures based on these languages.

Study Abroad Programs

    China LSA+ (fall), Japan LSA+ (summer), Japan exchange programs (Keio University & Kanda University of International Studies), Hebrew Exchange program (Hebrew University of Jerusalem). A study abroad program for students of Arabic is currently being designed.
