Programs

Students are encouraged to pursue study-abroad programs through the Department. At present, DAMELL offers Foreign Study Programs (FSP) in both Beijing, China, and Tangier, Morocco, as well as Advanced Language Study Abroad (LSA+) programs in Tokyo, Japan. The Dartmouth Chinese Foreign Study Program is conducted at Beijing Normal University (BNU) during the summer term, and, starting with Fall 2012, there will be a China LSA+ offering each fall, while the FSP will continue to be offered each summer. Students also have the option of studying in Seoul, Korea, or Tokyo & Chiba, Japan, through the college's exchanges with universities in those cities. Furthermore, DAMELL recognizes several Hebrew programs in Israel and elsewhere for transfer credit.
