Designed to develop mastery of the spoken and written language. Assigned work includes written compositions and oral presentations. Prerequisite Prerequisite: Japanese 41 or permission of the instructor Requirements Attendance and preparation are the most important requirements for this course. Language acquisition is a matter of practicing skills on a daily basis. This is not a "content" course, so you cannot cram for it. You must be willing to work together both inside and outside of class. It is better to prepare and make mistakes than not prepare and be unable to participate. Four unexcused absences will result in the loss of a full letter grade. If you miss class more than four times your grade is at the mercy of the instructor.
