“This is the parcours at this spring's "L'enfer du Nord" collegiate cycling race. Basically, you head out of Hanover on West Wheelock street, and keep plugging forward over some steep ups and downs, before coming to junction with Rte. 132 at a big ol' downhill with a hairpin left at the bottom. Mind the loose stuff in the turn. Stay on 132, as it rolls its way back into the river valley before terminating in a T-intersection with Route 5. Take a left onto 5 south and follow it as it bears left, upwards into Norwich (rather than continuing straight, back to the Ledyard Bridge). Repeat as desired. The stretch from Hanover to the hairpin is commonly referred to as Norwich Hills, and can provide a scenic and hilly alternative to the pancake of Route 5.”
