Men - How to get involved

The Men's Project

The Men's Project creates opportunities to address challenges faced by men at Dartmouth. Among other challenges, men are continually evaluating how to relate to the history of male domination and misogyny and create a new paradigm of equality.  In relation to this history, men today are finding new ways to engage with women and other men in the workplace and classroom as well as in social environments and intimate relationships.  The Men's Project seeks to bring together resources to help men at Dartmouth face these challenges, as well as celebrate the diversity of experience within the male community here.  This work will focus on circulating positive images of men and masculinity to the campus as well as critically addressing negative expressions of the masculine identity. Central to this exploration of masculinity is the recognition that explorations of gender must take place in tandem with explorations of race and ethnicity, economic status, sexual orientation and other significant aspects of individual and cultural identity.
