We are pleased to announce that Dartmouth College has contracted with Travel Leaders to provide travel services for Dartmouth College effective at 5:00 PM on July 31, 2009. Garber Travel will continue to be available to assist you with travel arrangements through the month of July.
Travel Leaders was recommended for selection by a committee of representatives from departments across campus that have a high volume of travel, including group and international travel. The committee reviewed proposals that were submitted by several vendors, participated in vendor presentations, and then made its recommendation based on a balance of quality services and cost-effectiveness. Travel Leaders has excellent references from other schools that use their services and we expect they will provide a high level of service to Dartmouth travelers through their dedicated agents. Travel Leaders will also provide an on-line booking tool for domestic and international travel arrangements that do not require agent assistance.
We know that there may be concerns regarding the change in vendors, and we are working closely with both Garber Travel and Travel Leaders to ensure a smooth transition. Additional information will be provided on this site and through training sessions starting in mid-July. We hope you will be pleased with the new travel tools and vendor and ask that you give them your support during the transition. We also thank Garber Travel for the service they have provided to the College.
