New Continental Airlines Carry-On Size Restriction

Starting Nov. 1, Continental Airlines is requiring that all carry-on bags be no more than 45 linear inches for all flights. The airline’s current maximum size for carry-ons is 51 linear inches. Earlier this month, Continental began charging domestic coach passengers $15 each way for the first checked bag, making overhead storage space even more in demand than it was before the new charge.
