Major Description

Students must gain a competency in Spanish or Portuguese by their sixth term and are strongly encouraged to study a second language, preferably Portuguese, Spanish, or French, while taking courses that include a wide variety of elements of geography, humanities, political science, history and anthropology to provide them with a broad base of regional studies and to introduce them to major figures and trends in Latin American and Caribbean Literature.
