Major Description

The Department, characterized by excellent teaching, close faculty-student relationships, and a lively research environment, presents a wide range of chemistry courses and modern research opportunities in both majors it offers - Chemistry and Biophysical Chemistry. The faculty is committed to the value of hands-on research, and evidence of which is the emphasis of laboratory classwork as well in as the availability of research projects in an individual faculty member's laboratory.
