  • Careers in Focus - Sports: A series of articles which discuss particular sports occupations in detail.  Gives the history of the particular job as it relates to the overall development of its industry of field, the primary and secondary duties of the job, education and training requirements.  Offers suggestions on how to gain some experience in or knowledge of the particular job before making a commitment.
  • Career Opportunities in the Sports Industry:  Seventy-three careers are discussed in a clear and easy-to-understand style. Boxed highlights of the facts in brief and a two-to-three page summary describe the position, the salary, employment prospects, educational requirements, and tips for entry. Lists of colleges, workshops, professional associations, and the media are appended.
  • How To Get A Job In Sports:  Covers a wide variety of sports positions.  Each entry describes education and training required, salary ranges, job description, where the jobs are and keys to getting the job.  Sections include:  Advertising, Coaching, Community Service, Finance, Journalism, Photographer, Special Events and much more.
