Major Description
The Department includes all disciplines devoted to the study of the Earth. At the advanced level, research and teaching emphasize watershed processes, environmental geochemistry, advanced structural geology and geophysics, sedimentology, paleontology, and remote sensing, combining field research, both here and abroad, with laboratory and theoretical studies to understand the fundamental processes affecting applied earth sciences.
