Provide Comprehensive Job Descriptions & Update your Website
A complete and accurate job description, in a language tailored for liberal
arts students, is critical to attracting appropriate candidates. Your website
is also an important marketing tool. Feel free to consult with us! If your
organization is part of our Recruiting Program, your job description(s) and
your website will be linked directly to the Career Services website.
Entry-Level Job Postings
Our recruiting and job posting system is called DartBoard. In
DartBoard, you can post unlimited jobs targeting Dartmouth students
specifically and do so free of charge.
You can also participate in the Dartmouth Recruiting Program and register
for Dartmouth career fairs online.

Participate in our Employer Connections Fair
Host a booth Wednesday, October 1st or Thursday, October 2nd from
Noon through 4:00 PM in Alumni Hall/Hopkins Center
Participation is highly recommended for employers who wish to establish a
strong presence on campus. Over 800 students attend each day.
Held during the first full week of Fall term, students come here to learn about
career options, internship and entry-level job opportunities. Held in
lieu of information sessions, this is your primary opportunity to engage
students, raise their level of interest, and introduce them to your application
process. Resumes are NOT collected here, as students use the event to
prepare for upcoming resume deadlines.
Call us at 603-646-2665/1163 to obtain more information or to request a
registration form.
Send Targeted Mailings
Target students interested in your career field. Invite students to visit
your booth at our Employer Connections Fair and/or to apply for positions with
your organization. Nominal fee to obtain mailing labels from our office.
Call 603-646-2665/1163 to place your order.
Hire Dartmouth Interns Full-Time Each Season/Term
Cultivate a steady supply of future entry-level candidates and get students
thinking about your organization earlier. Hire full-time interns each
quarter (Jan.- Mar., Apr.-June, July-Sept., Oct-Dec.) Nothing
surpasses ongoing word-of-mouth advertising. Call us at 603-646-2665/1163 to
discuss how to get started.
Hold an Information Session
Call our office at 603-646-2665/1163 to schedule a one-hour event. Events
are open to all students and may be scheduled to take place during our winter,
spring or summer quarters. Info sessions take place in campus classrooms that
our office reserves OR, for employers who want to serve refreshments, in
function rooms reserved at the Hanover Inn. Regardless of your event location,
Career Services schedules the event so that we can market it effectively and so
that we can insure your event does not overlap with other employer events
scheduled.
Note: Sophomores are required to be on campus taking classes during our
summer quarter. As such, Summer Information Sessions should be geared
specifically to these sophomores/rising juniors. Ideally, summer information
sessions are used to promote winter internships for these students.
Since the majority of our fall quarter is heavily booked with on-campus
interviews, information sessions are not available during fall term. Instead,
employers are invited to participate in our Employer Connections Fair. Call us
at 603-646-2665/1163 to obtain more information about the fair.

Request a Resume Drop
Use this service if you're unable to come to campus. Career Services will
announce your opportunity, then use our DartBoard system to electronically
collect resumes/cover letters. You can contact selected candidates directly to
conduct telephone interviews, then bring pre-screened candidates to your
offices for on-site interviews. We ask that you contact each applicant within 3
weeks of the submission deadline to inform them of their status. If,
after reviewing the application materials, you decide you would like to conduct
on-campus interviews, call us ASAP.
