Hiring Students for Internships

Internships are an excellent 'feeder' for future entry-level openings. Additionally, as your interns return to campus, you reap the benefit of "word of mouth" advertising.

Dartmouth College operates on a year-round academic calendar, allowing undergraduate students to pursue full-time internships any season of the year for 10-12 week blocks.

Internships are shared with a consortium of 18 colleges, including Claremont McKenna College, Dartmouth College, Davidson College, Drew University, Hampshire College, Harvey Mudd College, Johns Hopkins University, Lewis & Clark College, Occidental College, Pitzer College, Pomona College, Reed College, Sarah Lawrence College, Scripps College, University of Chicago, University of Puget Sound, University of Rochester,Whitman College.

(If you wish to target Dartmouth students exclusively, please indicate this.)

To Post an Internship:

Email your contact information and the internship description to career.services@dartmouth.edu.  Students will be able to access your posting through our on-line database. Interested students will apply directly to you on a rolling basis.  Interested students will contact you directly.

Use this handy description form  if you need a place to start.  Your detailed description should be emailed, faxed or mailed to Center for Professional Development (email career.services@dartmouth.edu, fax 603-646-1360, or mail to Dartmouth Center for Professional Development, 63 South Main Street, Suite 200, Hanover NH 03755-2091).

To Increase Visibility for your Internship

Arrange a formal Resume Drop or On-Campus Interviews as part of our high-profile Recruiting Program. Center for Professional Development will promote your internship, then collect application materials from interested students. The morning after the submission deadline, you can retrieve your bundle of applicant materials electronically for review. If you are interviewing on campus, we will schedule your interviews for you as well. Contact us at (603) 646-2665 or career.services.recruiting@dartmouth.edu for more information on these options.
