CONGRATULATIONS ENERGY TEAM!
FO&M Energy Team wins the Lorax Award in the category of "Staff Sustainability Project".
During the past 3 years Dartmouth's energy team implemented an energy conservation program and College Energy Management System (CEMS) to track energy supply and consumption. Together these initiatives have a tremendous positive impact on Dartmouth's energy consumption and related tracking/reporting. Congratulations on winning the first annual Lorax Award!
The Campus Planning & Facilities Division is responsible for ensuring long-term stewardship of the campus physical environment and enhancing the quality and functionality of the physical assets in support of Dartmouth College’s mission of teaching and research. Included in this division are the departments of Facilities Operation and Management, Environmental Health & Safety, the Office of Planning & Design, Project Management, and Dartmouth’s Real Estate Office.
Dartmouth College considers its beautiful, historic campus as a great asset, whose quality and functionality contributes directly to the student educational experience. The central campus consists of 237 acres. Dartmouth’s facilities include over 6.5 million gross square feet in 161 buildings, ranging from housing to specialized laboratories, gymnasiums to high tech classrooms, playing fields to libraries. These facilities serve over 5,900 students and 4,000 faculty and staff in a variety of academic, research, administrative, athletic, and residential spaces.
