Alcohol and/or Other Drugs Treatment

The Counseling Center offers a comprehensive treatment program for alcohol and/or other drugs.

Assessment

A structured interview designed to collect data about substance use.

Individual Counseling

One-on-one short-term counseling sessions designed to help student explore issues related to alcohol and other drug use.

Group Counseling/CHOICES

A non-AA group designed to help students examine their relationship with alcohol and/or other drugs. Group topics include abstinence, peer pressure, intoxication, binge drinking, and health related risks. Students may be referred or self-referred to group counseling. The Counseling Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (fall, winter, spring terms), 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (summer term and term breaks).

  • Emergency services are provided for students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. After regular business hours, contact Safety & Security at 603-646-4000 to access the counselor on-call. Services are confidential.
