Research Overview

The goal of Dartmouth College Theoretical Cosmology Group is to decipher the universe. Will galaxies exist forever? Why is the universe dominated by matter instead of being composed of equal amounts of matter and antimatter? What is the fundamental principle underlying the apparent accelerated recession of galaxies?

Inflationary cosmology, cosmic phase transitions, dark matter and dark energy, and even the origin of life, are among the topics under investigation.
