If a benefit eligible employee is enrolled in the Traditional Medical Insurance Plan through Dartmouth College, they would be covered for eligible expenses anywhere in the world. If an employee is enrolled in the Blue Choice Plan, they would be subject to paying for expenses as outlined in option three of their insurance plan (seeking care from any out-of-network provider).
Some countries do not bill American insurance companies. Therefore, employees should make arrangements to pay for treatment and then file an international claim form for reimbursement.
