The Conradt Laboratory moved to the Department of Genetics at Dartmouth Medical School in 2003. Our research interests are the regulation and mechanisms of apoptosis. Members of the BCL2 family of proteins are important regulators of apoptosis in all animals. The goal of our work is to elucidate how the activities of BCL2-like proteins are controlled during development and how BCL2-like proteins regulate apoptosis. To that end we are using the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans as a model.
