Research Compliance Steering Committee

The mission of the Research Compliance Steering Committee is to serve as a resource to the Vice Provost for Research to ensure all areas of research compliance (including education and outreach to faculty, staff, and administration) are addressed at the highest standards. The Steering Committee assesses and sets priorities for research compliance based on communication with the Research Compliance Network (see description on site). The Steering Committee forms working groups with appropriate members in order to develop procedures that comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The Steering Committee reports significant issues and concerns to the Vice Provost for Research and the Council on Sponsored Activities as appropriate.

The Research Compliance Steering Committee includes representation from the Dartmouth College offices of the Provost, Sponsored Projects, Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects, Environmental Health & Safety, Animal Resource Center, General Counsel, the Hitchcock Foundation, and the Office of Audit & Compliance at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The Steering Committee meets once per month with the goal of enhancing the research environment and facilitating the conduct of research, while adhering to applicable rules and regulations.
