In addition to consulting on supported software packages and help with
software installation, Research Computing provides licensed software through
vendor licensing plans. Dartmouth has site licensing agreements with SGI, IBM,
and DEC. These generally provide software for academic use and include
operating system upgrades, compilers, development tools, and applications.
Third-party licensed software is also available from Adobe, IMSL, Maple,
Matlab, and Mathematica.
