Library Building Committee Report
The Building Committee for the Berry Library was created in March of 1995 to
develop detailed programmatic plans for the new Berry facility.
Planning Process for Berry
The design of the Berry Library is the outcome of a long, careful process of
deliberation and decision-making, a continuous narrative from initial idea
through design.
Baker-Berry Phasing Plan
This phasing plan describes several temporary moves of Library and Computing
staff as renovations proceed. Although temporary relocations will be
inconvenient and stressful, they do make it possible to accomplish much, though
not all, of the renovation work in unoccupied spaces.
Design for Physical Spaces
Berry Design Background
The interior spaces of the Berry Library are designed to provide a smooth flow of functions between Berry and Baker Libraries.
The basic design of the Berry Library exterior has been dictated by the interior spaces, which in turn have been determined by the program of the building, the
needs of the campus, and the existing structure of Baker Library.
